About Acupuncturist
Oba Takuya, Founder of Oba Acupuncture, is a nationally licensed acupuncturist certified by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare of Japan.
He holds official licenses in both Acupuncture and Moxibustion.
He graduated from Kobe Toyo Medical College and has been practicing acupuncture since 2006. With over 15 years of clinical experience, he has provided care in a wide range of settings, including clinics in Kobe and Ashiya, as well as onboard international cruise ships.
He takes a personalized and holistic approach to treatment, listening carefully to each patient in order to develop a customized care plan. His expertise covers a wide range of conditions, and his treatments are known for being thorough, gentle, and effective.

We treat a wide range of conditions including pain (such as back pain and arthritis), headaches, stress, fatigue, insomnia, and more. If you’re unsure whether acupuncture can help with your condition, feel free to contact us.
2. Does acupuncture hurt?
Most people feel little to no pain. The needles are very thin, and many patients find the treatment relaxing.
3. How many sessions will I need?
This depends on your condition and goals. Some people feel relief after one session, while others benefit from a series of treatments. We will discuss a treatment plan during your first visit.
4. Do you accept walk-ins?
No. All treatments are by appointment only. Please book in advance through LINE or the contact form.
5. What is your cancellation policy?
If you need to cancel or reschedule, please notify us in advance. A cancellation fee may apply for missed or last-minute cancellations. (Full policy details available upon request.)
6. Can I use health insurance?
In general, we do not accept insurance. However, we can provide receipts if needed for reimbursement.
7. What should I wear?
You don’t need to bring any special clothing. We provide a comfortable treatment gown at the clinic. However, if you prefer, you may come wearing loose, easy-to-move-in clothing.
8. Do you speak English?
I can communicate in English, but please note that I am not fluent. If you speak slowly and clearly, we will be able to communicate without any problems.
9. Are the needles reused?
No. We use only disposable, single-use sterile needles to ensure the highest standard of hygiene and safety.
10. Do you offer home visits?
Yes, we offer home visit acupuncture sessions for patients who have difficulty coming to the clinic. Availability depends on location and schedule. Please contact us for details and to make arrangements.

We offer home visit acupuncture services for patients who have difficulty coming to the clinic due to pain, mobility issues, or schedule constraints.

Travel Fee: Calculated from Hankyu Ashiyagawa Station
- Within 1 km (Ashiya City): +¥2,000
- Each additional 1 km: +¥2,000
